Hello

I have a question about power steering my car is 90 SE 240sx with stock ka motor. My question is when I turn the steering wheel all the way to one side till it stops at the end of all the turning I get a squeling sound and also I noticed that the power steering pump pulley stops is this normal? One thing I forgot to mention is that I have an aftermarket steering wheel. Does this affect it some how? I'm not sure how the car ran with the stock steering wheel. I never got to drive the car till an aftermarket one was installed? Thanks in advance.

No it is not normal for the pump pulley to stop at anytime. Check your belt tension should have no more then half an inch deflection at the longest span between pulleys. The sterring wheel has no effect on the p/s system. If your belt is tight check your fluid level. if its low find the source of the leak fix it then top your fluid level off and recheck it.
