Forbes Magazine recently compiled a list of the most value-packed cars on the market, and our beloved Nissan Versa came in #2! Here's the article link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41871091/ns ... forbescom/

Thanks for the link Joshua. I speak from past experience. One wild card people overlook is an accident. A car that's been repaired is never worth as much as one that hasn't. An accident is something nobody can predict. So I wouldn't focus too much on residual. Go for the car you like.

Oh yeah, I absolutely think it's more important to get a car you like, I just like to think of this as icing on the cake ;)

The residual value, even after accident, would still reflect the particular model's value minus the value depreciated by the accident.

For some, when comparing say between a Toyota Prius and VW Golf TDI, residual value may be that deal breaker.

Andrew nobody wants a car thats been in an accident - would you?
Most dealers will pass such a trade off to a wholesaler.

You'll never get full residual value trading in.

In any case, I'm not sure why you think I'm disagreeing with you that cars damaged in an accident are damaged goods.

What I'm saying is that residual values, even after an accident, still reflect the value of the car. Most people don't get into accidents, and residual value is definitely a very good variable to consider.
