So I get my cyberdyne digital water temp gauge all wired up. Get a NISsport temp adapter and a koyo. Problem is, with the thickness of the koyo and the position of the engine on R32 Xmember, there is only like 3 inches of space between the koyo outlet and the engines water hose. The nissport adapter is about 1/2 in inch too long to physically fit inside the distance. Really frustrating...

I could:A) Sell off my gauge and adapterB) Hook the gauge up to the stock sender unit for the dash (anyone confirm this?)C) Have either the koyo or the engine water pipe tapped for the gauge's sender

Can anyone verify for me that the stock sender will work for an aftermarket gauge?

This is what I am referring to, the adapter is closer to the camera in the pic so it looks a lil bigger than it is, but it wont fit. I could cut it down a bit and have it barely fit but then it wouldnt have the rib on the end and I think the radiator hose needs to have some flexing room to allow the engine to move.

wow that is uber tight...not sure man i know ive seen temp gauge adaptors fitted using the r32 xmember but they were the 'jdm' style ones which are shorter.and yes you do need some flex room.
