NissanVersa.org refresh

Time for a refresh. NissanVersa.org was initially put in place prior to the release of the Versa. With the release and explosion of membership it was time for a refresh.

Today, the information is relatively the same, but never fear, more information and links are on the way.

I think you are doing a great injustice putting the IMPUL kit on the front page. That ugly plastic crap is not a Versa. It dishonors the engineers who designed and styled the Versa.

Ben - Partially my fault. He wanted to go with a picture of the hatch, because the old site showed a sedan, and I guess I could have said "hey, can you like put a STOCK hatch up there"? But overall I liked the changes, I felt the old portal site was too dark.

Besides... if it REALLY bothers everyone, we can change it.

I prefer the Kenstyle Tiida, but I suppose the Impul will do.

I like the refresh. I like the header and the brighter background (wish something like that could be done about the rest of the site). AND I also hated the sedan pic.

BUT I still think that IMPUL picture doesn't belong on the front page of the site. Many would-be future owners come here for research on the car and I just don't think the first thing they see should be a modified body. They should see the REAL versa.

Ben, we have three different schemes to choose from it you don't like the current layout. Select the Profile button, choose User Options, then under the "Style Scheme" you can choose "NICO Default" or "NICO Red". Personally, with the amount of time I spend on NICO, "NICO Black" works well because it is not as harsh on my eyes.

I have been looking for some generic Versa pics for the page and they are simply not out there unless you use one of the Nissan wallpapers (which won't work well). I do have something that may work as an interim image and I will update it soon.

I think the Impul Versa looks sweet, but I agree that it probably shouldn't be the main page image.Maybe we could submit some pics of our V's and you could choose the most apropriate for the front page?That would give us some way to show off our rides, and would give you much more material to work with.Just a thought.

A good plan. Anyone who wants to submit a pic, do so in this thread. Please just remember it needs to be professional looking and give an overall positive impression of the car.

I'm not sure how far my 2 cents will go, but I agree with Ben. The factory model should be on the front page to show people the true V that people will see on the lot. Then have somewhere where you show what the V could be. This works out well because this would allow for a section to where users can show off their customized works. That's just my pennies in the penny jar.

It would qualify as fair use undre copyright standards since it's basically used for ther purpose of commentary and review.

New pic looks great. Thanks to the others who voiced their opinions.

Amazing how little difference there is from the exterior between the S and SL trims. Can always tell by the wheels, until someone upgrades them. Then you have to look for the badge er.. nevermind.

I like the photos of the base white S and black SL Versas on the front page and think that they representative of what one should expect. I also enjoyed the addition of the two FAQ sections.

I was wanting a white Versa to go properly with the design. I finally found one but the layout did not work well (which is why the <cough> Tiiad </cough> was put up there). I went through a couple of itereations of the other pictures but they did not work either. Finally I said "screw it" and made my own to work in that space.
