I just have one thing to say about all of this. I LOVE NISSANS!!!!!!!!!! lol. I gotta tell ya, I have worked for independent garages before and have serviced just about every brand of automobile made, but I have always been a GM guy mainly. For the past few years I have worked at only GM dealerships and narrowed my fields over and over up until now. Now all that I do (at work anyways) is specailize in electronics and trim on cadillacs. I could probably tell you anything about pretty much any GM car but outside of that I just have general experience. I havent worked on many cars as easy to service as my 240 (nor were they as shall we say "neglectable"). I have owned this car for about 1 1/2 years and during this time period I have put 50,000 miles on the car ( I have an 82 mile round trip to work everyday) and I have never had to do anything major to the car save for a transmission replacement due to my own botched rebuild attempt. The car currently has 142k miles on it now. I am in the middle of changing my timing chain (which I believe to be original, even the guides). I have to say that I could honestly do this blindfolded and I have never had one of these apart before. This has to be the easiest timing chain I have ever replaced. I have also never had a car so dependable and didnt require much maintenance. Up until now it has even had the original belts on it ( they look terrible but never squealed any). I will admit that the car was very well taken care of. When I bought it at the end of 2002 it was a lady driven one owner with ninety something thousand miles on it. So in summary if all nissans are this dependable and easy to service I think that I am working for the wrong car company. I like cadillacs a lot and they are very nice cars, but they couldnt hold a candle to the reliability of my daily driver.
