Nissans Popular?

Over the past few months I've noticed more and more attention to Nissans, particularly the 240. I think this is kind of strange because the car has been around for more than ten years. The newer import magazines, sport compact, ect are featuring skylines, 240's, and silvias. WTF. I'd like to know why the good cars are getting attention after 10 years on the market.

Your opinions of why this is happening.

I think the more attention the 240 gets, the more people are going to think they're cool cause they're in the magazines, and they're going to rice them out big-time.

it all started at with a little article in scc. that article spawned a whole lot of attention to the 240sx and the sr20det. Have you noticed there are no 240's featured w/ a ca? The only ka ive seen has been Chris Mays. Your right more and more people are getting into the car and are going to rice them hard. Alot of questions on this forum can lead one to believe that.

the sport compact edition with the real type R integra on the front features a really riced out silvia. check out the body kit up front. i think the guy thinks he's going to take off or something

The 240 with the ca in it was b#ll****. The guy spent 30k on the thing and had almost no mods on the engine (for a 30k 240), a body kit that ruined the natural beauty of the s14 body style, and a paint job that costs more than a silvia conversion yet still looks well, gettoish. In my personal oppinion a show car should at least have some attention on performence, and, even if it has a wild, erratic design, some sense of being aesthetically pleasing.

I think it half spawned with the rise of the JDM craze among the honda/acura owners. Once many of them realized that in Japan Nissans are much more commonly modified cars they decided to change allegiances for a real RWD sports car.

Kinda like how Initial D put Carolla GTS's back into the spotlight and they are nearly 20 years old.

this is off subject but whats the short little term for the skyline v6 twin turbo engine, you know how you got the ka240det or the sr20det(i think thats what they are). oh and also how do u get the little faces on the right to come up, every time i click on them it just says out the word? oh and also why does it say "driving moms car" under my name? how do i change it also? actually dont tell me why its there just tell me how to change it. thanks in advance.

Yup, last month in SCC, the Feast Motorsports S13.Super Street covered an S13 with a CA like last year some time.

I don't like the attention that the Nissans are getting, but what are you gonna do...it happens. At least I bought my car a year ago. Now more parts will be available and more companies will jump on the bandwagon, so I guess that is at least one positive aspect.

Nah, its not really that positive, just means more people to get ripped off and more actual performance minded, quality companies getting run out of business. Also more straight up idiots in the Nissan genre, oh well.

:ylsuper 240's are getting lots of attention. In my car club we ran my auto 98 240sx se w/ ractive exhaust on the gtech pro. I suprised alot of people with a 15.64 sec 1/4 mile time. Even the KA has lots of potential

That guy who has the Orange S14 in the new SCC needs to be deprived of his car and given a nice non-vtec teg to destroy and "call a skyline", i really don't want to go here, but he needs to be shot.

The only 240 I have seen in mags recently with a CA swap is the feast Silvia S13. OMG, those guys put so much work into that car... I'd love to see what it is like in that car during their time runs... oh well.

sorry about not knowing whats going on in scc havent picked up one of those in a while. Im starting to compete in db drag and sound competitions so i only get those mags now. Still not nearly as many ca's as sr20's when both engines have a ton of potential.

Alright i'll answer these to be a post whore. The Skyline TT is an inline six not a V six and it is called the RB26DETT (2.6 liter, dual overhead cam twin turbo) you may have noticed that there is even a forum for it about 3 forums up called RB Engines Discuss the RB series engines. The word that says something like p face will end up producing this :pface so dont delete it and let the computer do the thinking.Driving moms car has to do with how many posts you have, unless your a moderator (which you will never be) then just live with what you have.
