i posted the turbo developement my coupe is undergoing on nissanclub.com and the moderators kicked my thread to the deadzone that nobody uses which is the altima subcategory for 08 coupes that nobody uses. i then posted that the artisan turbo kit will work on the sedans as well with a longer modified exhaust and they removed my comment completely. wtf is up with that sh*t.my only question would be why???? maybe their altima moderator is anti boost or something and or he just doesn't like new members. I'm sticking with NICO from here on out.i already didn't think highly of nissanclub, but this sealed the deal.

Here's a simple break down:

nissanclub altima forums: strictly consists of 3rd gens nico altima forums: strictly consists of 4th gens

That is why you look like a tard in nissanclub, and also why I look like a tard here

This is what happens when you have too many hands stirring one pot. Everyone wants you to believe their spoon is the largest.

I spend a lot of time over there......Just try not to pay too much attention to the trivial shiiit.

Yeah, Nissanclub is not a great place for discussion... when i joined back in early '06 when I got my 1st gen I noticed they dont like any noobs posting anything... whether it was me or someone else posting a question on about where to find parts, or questions about problems, SEARCH, SEARCH, SEARCH was every relpy... not even a welcome, try searching... just SEARCH, NOOB! and then if there was a question thatg i couldnt find after a search, there was my favorit reply, "But it's an altima" and the ever popular, "Modding is a lifestyle, not a hobby" ... BS replys like that actually made me stop reading the forums for almost a year.... and I just started asking around town at the local shop... Ever since I've fouund NICO I've been more and more looking foreward to, and more impatient on getting my coupe, but all in due time... Definitly happier I found NICO

I find the Nissanclub.com Altima site plenty active and think the these two sites compliment each other. You have to make sure you get it the correct forum for the 4th gen:http://www.nissanclub.com/foru...ssion/

*NEW* 2007-2008 Nissan Altima Discussion (48 Viewing) 2008+ Nissan Altima Coupe Forums (3 Viewing)

this is my problem with nissanclub. if you post something that might pertain to the altima coupe in the general altima forum your post will be kicked to the altima coupe forum that nobody uses. they only have 89 total threads posted in their altima coupe forum most of which being useless information and there are only 3 total users online on a sunday afternoon. getting a educated answer to a question could take days upon weeks or possibly not at all. by them splitting there 08 altima coupe from their general altima forum has only made them that much weaker and nico that much stronger. +1000 for nico moderators here don't delete your thread if you question something they did and politely explain to them why their actions should be reversed.

This looks like a thinly-veiled and pathetic attempt to get some traffic in a forum that has been dead for over a year.

I'll leave it open, just because there's a ton of crickets chirping over there.

i mean i like both of them...the only problem with this one for me is that most everyone has a coupe on this forum (and i have a sedan) but i have found a balance with both forums...

The reason there is more Coupe owners here is possibly due to the Coupe homepage (altimacoupe.com) make it easy to find us (not like finding NICO is difficult). At some point in the future I do plan on a page for Altimas of all years as well.

We are working on some changes to take this forum to the next level so give us a bit of time

I'm obviously biased to nissanclub since I found that site before Nico, and because I feel less alienated there being among a lot of 3rd genners.

I'm cool with Nico, but I feel that nissanclub has a much larger "database" of information (for the 1st 2nd and 3rd gens anyways).

i've been to both and nico offers faster more educated responses regardless of generation. and, the flaming and sh*t talking is much more under control over here.

IIRC it's cause the site originally started as Altimas.net ... and then somewhere along the way they opened it up to all nissan owners

When it was Altimas.net it was very busy (I used to surf it often). Seems when the previous owners initially bought it they alienated a large number of the member base.

Since I came on board here initially as a Maxima Moderator, the one thing I strived to do was to obtain as much information as possible for the members. One of the issues I had seen with other forums is that they would have a long list of links to How-To's/Tech information but over time the links were broken and good for nobody (or the pictures themselves expired from the photo-host). OR, you would have to do extensive searching to find threads containing the information. Here, we are trying to create a database for each vehicle that is stored on NICO with images hosted on NICO as well. From the Altima standpoint we don't have much and any help that can be provided by members would greatly support the community as a whole. The "articles" we have for the Altima are located:http://www.nicoclub.com/subpag...ltima

If you wish to contribute any of your technical information it would be appreciated (and you get a custom title for being a supporting member - if that means anything)

Thanks

I use NICO for information I need on cars. I use Nissanclub for information on SoCal events.

The regional forum on Nissanclub is more active than the ones here in NICO.
