The roots

Have always loved Nissans; as far back as I can remember I've been fascinated by them. It started with my older sister's Z31 and when she eventually progressed to her 3rd Nissan and 1st Z32, I was hooked.

Backstory

The second owner parked the car after being told the car was done. When I got my hands on it the car had been exhausted by the weather as it sat for about 7 years, never moved.

Long road to running

To say I am a shady tree mechanic is a stretch. I know enough to rip s*** apart and barely able to put it back together. On this though, I've taken my time, done my homework, dump too much money into it and tried my best to not make this thing worse.
To get it running the following has been replaced; injectors, coil packs, MAF, angled cam sensor new coil pack and injector clips, plugs, drive belts, 120K tune up, alternator bracket, PS pump, PS HP hoses, Radiator, hoses, vac lines. For looks; Lowered with new shoes, catback exhaust, cowl vents, t-top shades, window molding, windshield and t-top molding, new paint job and although it's not fully functional for calls, I left the original in-car phone.

Still having a few issues with it but generally speaking it is running and I've learned a ton of things about this car and the VG30 engine.

Congrats on your Z, and especially for doing it all yourself! The Z32 is NOT an easy car to do much of anything to, so I would rate you as a very good mechanic if as you indicated you have replaced all that you have, and successfully.

Built not bought is the way to go. Good job on bringing life back to your Z.
