looking at buying an 04 Xterra 2WD and was wondering how the reliability of them was and any flaws with them. Thanks

Solid truck. Last year of the WD22. Replace the timing belt every 105k and if it's an auto, flush the fluid every 30k and drive it forever.

Havn't had any major issues myself and I can be hard on vehicles. Only had to replace ball joints, calmini upper control arm bushings, lf wheel bearings, and some broken wheel studs. Not all at once though haha. You shouldn't really have issues like mine though if you run stock tires and stay mainly on pavement. I place some blame on the 33s and lots of bad dirt roads. I have a samurai for the serious off roading. Solid trucks though. Oh,and I bent my left tie rod like a U haha
