What he said, just make sure they're the right diameter. Some are bigger than others.

I had the centers from the G35 coupe wheels in the 350Z rays wheels for a couple weeks, but they had to go with the coupe wheels. I have no centers now and think it looks fine.

Can you post the specs ont hose whhels before you mount them? size, offset, what car they're OE for, etc

I replaced my 97Qt wheels with 350 17in wheels. Just pop off the centers and exhanged the two. No problems for me!

It should be stamped on the backside of the hub, more than likely "40" or "+40". Let me find a sample pic.

Look here for a sample of the back of the Rays wheel. Lower left hand area shows dia, width, rim/lip style and offset.

so if it is +40 it should fit correctly right? I will throw them on my car hopefully today and take some pics. See if I even like them on the car.

Yes, a 17x7 +40 will fit. May seem a little sunken, but no moreso than stock. Defintely will not be the flush look so many want.

BTW, 7" is kind of on the narrow side, 7.5 should be a starting point for 17" wheels and 8" for 18" wheels. That said, I only have one set of wheels that are 8" or wider. (myself)

I figure anything is better than the 15x6, did I mention they will be free or close to? :D

they came off the SE model so they already have the 225 wide tire on them. Hopefully that will help it look a little wider.

Guado,Maxima rims look better on the Q, and most all fit perfectly. I have been more than pleased with 2001 Maxima GXE wheels on my Ivory-Quartz Q. I wish I could get the 17" ones you have, but a boy can dream. Here's a pic of what my rims look like.

The 17x7 02-03 Maxima SE wheel has an offset of +45.The 17x7 02-03 GLE and 04-06 SL has an offset of +40.

The 16x6.5 00-01 GXE wheels in the pic of the white Q that EQwhipD posted also have an offset of +40.

BTW, the 99-01 Q45t wheels are 17x7.5/+30 and the similar looking 00-01 130t wheels are 17x7/+45. A33 I30t wheels look okay on G50's but have that sunken in look on the (F)Y33's.

According to the wheel offset calculator the 17x7/+45 will have 6mm less of inner clearance and extend an extra 6mm from the outside edge of the original position of the 15x6.5/+45 wheel.

A 17x7/+40 specs at 1mm less inner, and extend an extra 11mm.

16x6.5/+40 specs at 5mm extra inner clearance and will extend an extra 5mm.

I take it the BBS Q45t wheels are 15x6.5 +45 also?

Yep. All of the G50/Q45 OEM 15x6.5 wheels are +45mm.

OhMyGawd! That sure is a sweet silver Q.

The part number for the 15x6.5 BBS-Nissan wheel is 4030063U25 and for the Turbines it is 4030041U25.

I'm not saying that the 15x7 BBS-Nissan wheels don't exist, but I've looked and cant find a part number for them. Transwheel does have a listing for the 15x7's on their web site. Maybe they were a factory-approved dealer accessory or just clandestinely slipped in possibly due to supply issues with BBS.

I <3 Nissan too BUT, I am VERY particular about badges matching on a car.

IMO-it's tacky. But that is just me.

Don't do the 300zx conversion or you won't be able to cope with the silver NISSAN lettering!

I get smart-*** dudes making comments about mine all the time. I never even thought of it, but at least once a week some know-it-all tells me how Infiniti is made by Nissan so my Nissan caps are OK. Like it's some big secret or something.

Hey, I say if you have talking centercaps, keep them as they are no longer currently made.

I think there was an upgraded model that would talk back to smart-azz kibbitzers like Robert needs. Check eBay.

The Murano and FX 20"s look nice, but aren't necessarily practical for most of us. I'm still waiting to see a G50 with the forged 19" Rays from a G35 coupe .

I am not. Convinced it is an inch too far. 18" would be too far if it weren't for the good folks at Pirelli and Michelin making the XL carcasses.

What's wrong with the 245/40's with 98 ratings and 255/35 with 96's ... aside from a slightly tall tire in the 245/40??

255/35/19's on prob wouldn't work on the G35 19" forged wheels, but I like the idea of a G50 with 255/35's ALL around .

I can see no benefit from less shoulder height, less tire volume, and greater rotating mass for the same width. The ride alone would be very discouraging, unless you came from a tuner car.

If you are talking about the calipers, a dremel will do the trick.

Here's a picture of the 2000 Maxima GXE 16" wheels I have on my G50

Note that that one is mounted on another car.

Are you serious about wanting to get rid of the 15in wheels? I'd be interested.
