Nissan VQ30dek transmission compatability

Hey guys, I posted this in the Maxima forum, but know that there are some Nissan experts here that might be able to help. I'm using the Nissan VQ30dek out of a 2001 I30 for an engineering research project at school. I need a transmission, and was wondering if the VQ35 has the same bolt pattern/ bell housing as the VQ30. I know the blocks are similar, and was wondering if a transmission from a car with the 3.5L would work with my engine.

Ask the dealer if the bell housings or transmissions (If the bell housing is inseparable) are the same part numbers between the vehicles in question.

I believe the starter location on the FWD VQ30DEK will give you trouble if you are trying to mate it with a RWD transmission
