Lake Manawa Nissan in Council Bluffs Iowa gave us a maintenance schedule that sounds kind of screwy. As for one they keep saying change the Transmission fluid at 15,000 or 30,000 when I saw on here it could go to 60,000 before needing changed. And I just need to know when to change the fluids when to change the struts exc exc. Thanks!!!

And is the dealership the best place to go for this as well?

Find another dealership and see their schedule so that you are able to compare the two and then you would be able to do the one that would be better for you. Changing the transmission at that milage sounds is a bit ridiculous actually and IMO a definite rip off unless they're doing it for free which I suppose they aren't and that's why you are complaining. Take a look around like I said and see what other dealership has going on.

Nissan recommends replacing the A/T fluid at 30K miles and for the CVT transmission it is 60K miles.

There's an actual maintenance schedule book that comes with manual for the Versa

if you have the CVT transmission I would let the dealer do the fluid change.

First of all, don't follow any dealer maintenance schedule. They are going to decrease the mileage for service intervals to make more money.

Follow the schedule that is printed in your owners manual. They have a couple listed depending on your driving habits.

If you have a CVT, you can wait until 60,000 miles for CVT fluid change.

Read your manual.

The CVT can go much more without having to do change the fluid, and as I said before there is a maintenance schedule that came with the manual so you can just follow that. If it isn't anything close to what the dealers have and you think they are trying to rip you off then follow the schedule book. You can't go wrong with that just do the services and those particular times and have them sign it when they done.
