im 5'8. I cant see any fenders. I park very easy. You will start feeling the car if you park for a while. I never bumped my V yet while parking. But some moron in a Cadilac SUV bumped my car and left it like that. I came out saw his front bumper was on my back bumper. he got a nice kick on his Fog lights
Parking scary in a Versa? It's a breeze. Try it in a large double cab 4wd pickup with a shell.
My first car, many years ago was a 1971 Chrysler Newport. You could see exactly where the hood and fenders ended, but it was huge and not easy to park.
Set something up in your garage tall enough to see when it moves. Slowly pull up to it in the Versa until you touch it. That will greatly help you learn where the car ends without damaging it or someone else's car ( in a parking lot).

Practice.
Practice.
Practice.
Don't worry. You'll get used to it. Any unfamiliar car is "scary". You just have to get used to it. With enough practice, even a large vehicle can feel small. That's what driving is all about isn't it?
***EDIT***i found what i was looking for...searched google for 1/2 hour and when i finaly found it, it was linked to nico!

Parallel parking does get easier with time as you get familar with the car.
If you are struggling gauging where you are in a carport or garage, just hang a tennis ball on a string so it hits the windshield when the car is where you want it to be. From then on you can just ease the car in until the tennis ball hits the window. Voila!
