I wonder if anyone has been able to benefit from Nissan's VPP and the reson for asking is that as a Ford owner I was able to get to the Ford site and request if anyone had a "pin" number for wnat is known as A Plan....about $100 below dealer invoice.Ford allows their employess 3 of these pin # (called a family and friends program) a year and if you ask for it and anyone has it then you may save a few dollars in the purchase, besides the no hassle from dealers....I want a buy a Murano EL about 6 months from now and I am just doing my so called "due dligemce" in trying to get the best available price....http://www.insidenissan.com is the site and I noticed that they have A and B plan for employees and relatives but also C plan for friends and family. Thanks for your attention...

Last year in July, I was able to take advantage of the VPP program. In the end it shaved about 6k off the price of my Murano. It was a good experience with one caveat, if you use the VPP program, the dealer I chose wouldn't negotiate much with the price. So depending on your Murano and local dealer, you may be better off not participating.

that was a considerable saving...but as I understand with the C plan or Fords A plan the price is the price and there is no negotiations...as a matter of fact the plan price at least with Ford is indicated on the dealer's invoice,,,not a penny more or less..that is the beauty of it..if you happen to know how to obtain a C plan # please let em know..thanks and enjoy your Murano in the nest of health..

All prices using VPP are non-negotiable. The dealer uses software to come up with the fixed costs.

Unless you can get VPP-A, the others may not be the best deals. I've heard people sometimes doing better on negotiating.

Thank you very much for your reply. I think you are 100% correct, I did the numbers based on the info in the NIssan site and yes unless you can get plan A or B, in the C plan instead of Nissan paying a full 5% (like A or B) they only contribute 2.5%...and that makes a big difference.I am trying to find out becuase I am planning to buy a Murano10 and my son in law does legal work for Nissan Corp and he mentined that there was a possibility to get a discount.....I would assume under plan C.I have seen dealers in MD that offer over $5k below sticker in the SL and LE models that I am considering. Thanks again...
