Not winning beauty contests and butt ugly are not the same thing.sooner4x4 wrote:Come on, Versa owners calling the Hornet ugly is kind of like calling the kettle black. The Versa is not going to win any beauty contests.
Butt ugly with a lifetime powertrain warranty is still butt ugly. And it's the lifetime of Chrysler, not the car that we're talking about.sooner4x4 wrote: So the Hornet would be like a Versa with a lifetime powertrain warranty. Not a bad thing.
A lifetime powertrain warranty doesn't mean squat if the REST of the car falls apart. Which so far it seems that Versas are prone to doing.sooner4x4 wrote:So the Hornet would be like a Versa with a lifetime powertrain warranty. Not a bad thing.

Boy, EV, after your defense of Hyundais, Daewoos and whatever when someone here makes generalizations, you say something like this! Even with the "common" problems that some folks report here, it's a lot different than the car falling apart. Please let me know what parts of Versas are prone to falling apart.Ever Victorious wrote:A lifetime powertrain warranty doesn't mean squat if the REST of the car falls apart. It's not like we know the full extent of problems yet. And I'm making an exaggeration of my own and other peoples' problems because yes, I am VERY unhappy with my Versa at this point.kc5f wrote:Boy, EV, after your defense of Hyundais, Daewoos and whatever when someone here makes generalizations, you say something like this! When's the last time you saw a really cool engine in a concept car and they actually KEPT that engine for the production vehicle? I'm going to say that happen on the 11th of Never.07V84Z wrote:I dunno...I like it. If it looks anything like the concept version, I think it'll be a hit. I mean, it'll probably be a hit regardless; given the current, and future state of gas prices. I really hope they decide to make a SRT version, if they don't keep the S/C Cooper engine.
Well, that was sort of a joke EV. But I do hope they make an SRT version. but regardless I don't know why you have to be such a d!ck about it. I know that Nissan and Mini have no working relationship. I'm not f*cking retarted. But, thanks anyway.Ever Victorious wrote:When's the last time you saw a really cool engine in a concept car and they actually KEPT that engine for the production vehicle? Besides, Mini and Nissan have no working relationship, so that's another no.
Probably the same reason that I didn't realize you were making a joke is the same reason you think I was trying to be a d!ck about it, which I wasn't. God bless the internet and its lack of readable emotion.07V84Z wrote:Well, that was sort of a joke EV. Jesus on toast.07V84Z wrote:Ha ha, sorry. That was sort of a joke again. I figured that you weren't REALLY bein' a d!ck.
You're full of all kinds of interesting quotes I've never heard before.KimberKenobi wrote:Jesus on toast.
As are you. What would you do without me? XoDEver Victorious wrote:You're full of all kinds of interesting quotes I've never heard before.
I can see it now... "Introducing, the new and improved...2010 Garth mobile!!!"srellim234 wrote:With car makers recycling and reviving old nameplates, does this mean we might see new Pacers and Gremlins in the near future?
Too funny!! I happen to like the looks of the Hornet as well. I personally find the Versa ugly, but the price couldn't be beat for what I was looking for.bikeman wrote: And it's the lifetime of Chrysler, not the car that we're talking about.

I've heard the Versa compared to a lot of things before.....never has a Mercedes been one of them. That is quite the stretchOnyxblue wrote:Yuck! Versa is a Mercedes comparing to THAT!
We can only hope not. That would be like reviving the Edsel. I used to have a 1961 Dodge Lancer. Mitsubishi of course, revived the Lancer name. Hornet seems like a pretty cool car name also.srellim234 wrote:With car makers recycling and reviving old nameplates, does this mean we might see new Pacers and Gremlins in the near future?
I traded in a 1999 C280 Mercedes and bought a Versa - I was tired of putting $100-$150 or more per month to fix electrical issues + burning oil at only $120k miles.nsrZ32 wrote:
