Nissan Sunny 1997 Engine Idling problem!!!

Hi All,I am Having Nissan Sunny 1997 model and having some problems with Idling when AC is on. Normally (when AC is off) The RPM is about 850 and when ever I turned on the AC it becomes 500. Earlier the engine used to stop and after the IACV was replaced it used to run under low RPM.When it was checked with the console it fails with the ICAV test. SO now the mechanic( Authorized for NISSAN) suspects that the ECU has gone and need to replace the ECU. Does any one came across issue like this ?? I wanna confirm before going there by this week end as a second opinion.

What is the IACV duty cycle? It could be the ECU--a second opinion is always good. look on E-bay for another ECU if yours turns out bad.
