Nissan stops making AC's, what next?

This is a general question, but since Nissan has announced that it is not making AC's anymore for 2014 and beyond - what happens to us AC owners?

Will our car values increase or decrease? What about availability for parts, etc?

Parts availability will be the same; apparent value of car will decrease if trading / selling once the other party finds out it is a discontinued product

Typically, resale value of discontinued models take a hit. Priced any Pontiacs lately? While it's a bit difficult to estimate how well Pontiac prices (for instance) would have held up, according to a study I just made up, discontinued models lose value against comparable cars that remain in production.

Regarding parts, I would not be concerned. Coupes share nearly all mechanicals with the Altima and I'm sure there is an adequate supply of any unique body parts to keep the cars repaired for a long time. When they become classics, the aftermarket will step up :-).

I'm just concerned about parts for my dual-mass flywheel.

Pontiac doesn't even exist though. That's different than the altima coupe wich still exists as a sedan under a current brand.

A friend of mine works at Nissan. And showed me a photo of the next coupe. It's ugly. Looks like the coupe had sex with the smart car, and that was their baby. smh
