I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Rogue but I won't be able to do it till next Weekend. Tomorrow 3/1 is the last day for the $750 cashback. Any ideas of any upcoming cashback offers?

Although I don’t know of any official future cashback program... you can take it to the bank there WILL BE a sale in one form or another pretty soon. The rule of thumb is...if you don't like the sale today, just wait until tomorrow. As each manufacturer rolls out a new sale, incentive plan (or some other gimmick to get customers into the showroom,) other competing manufacturers will follow suit.

NET: Granted .,... when you want a new car its tough to fight the desire to “buy it now”... but... if you can control your urge to buy and let common sense prevail all you have to do is wait. Sales typically follow the holidays so the next big sales will probably be Memorial Day May 31st and Independence Day July 4th.

That said, be aware that an independent dealership sale is not the same an incentive from a manufacturer (where the manufacturer offers a cashback rebate or incentive) over and above what the dealership is offering.

As you probably know the best time to buy a new car is at month end December when sales are down due to holiday shipping and other festivities and the new models are pushing the previous model year off the lot. The other best time to buy is starting in July and usually runs through October. Its during this time manufacturers / dealers sell off cars at low prices to clear space for new car models. Also during this time the factory offers “unadvertised” dealer incentives of several thousands dollars “on top of” the advertised consumer rebates! So… even if a customer buys a car at dealer invoice… the dealership still gets the thousands from the factory incentives. A smart shopper will haggle over this secret incentive. Most dealers will give up all or part of this incentive which can result in a sale at thousands below invoice!

But… its evident you don’t want to wait that long… so just be prepared when you decide to buy. Forget the sticker price or what the salesman says they can sell the car for… Read thru this thread to figure out the dealers costs… then negotiate from there.

Thanks for the info. I'm in no hurry, I have til end of March to turn in my leased Murano back to Nissan. So hopefully they will have some new rebates when I will need to get a new vehicle.

If your plan is to purchase and not lease, now would also be a good time to shop around for financing before you go to the dealership. That way you are able to concentrate on negotiating the best price for the vehicle.Don't over look what financing the dealer may offer but make sure they tell you the APR and the length of the loan and not just the monthly payment amount. But, you probably already knew that.
