Hallo all I am new to this club but happy to be part of the Nissan family.I imported a 2004 Nissan Skyline 250 GT V6 Petrol from Japan. It had 60000km on the clock. After driving it for a few days it started jerking whenever you try force the accelerator down for quick acceleration and the engine light was On.I took the car for a scan and a code P0101 for the air flow sensor was detected.I bought a brand new sensor and the fault cleared. However after a few months the problem started again.Took the car for a scan and Faulty codes P1110 and P1130 were detected. The car was then serviced, new oil, filters and the intake valve timing control solenoid valves for both banks opened for inspection. After service we tried to reset the fault but failed to clear.I have contacted Japan Nissan spares companies for the intake timing solenoid valves but they are charging me US900.00 for each cam sprocket cover and pulley kit. They don't sell the valves alone. So for the 2 will require US1800.00 besides freight and duty.Could this be the real problem and is it possible for me to get the timing valves alone.

You should have a mod move this to the G35 forum. That's the US version of your car.

If Infiniti/Nissan only sells them by the kit then you will need to either purchase used or see if any parts place sells the individual components.

Bad situation....

Thats the assistance I am looking for Where to get the used ones if available or any parts place that sells them as individuals. I am in Zimbabwe and our biggest Nissan center is in South Africa.South African Nissan does not deal with ex Japanese vehicles so I am now prepared to buy anywhere.

Do you have the part numbers?

The problem with looking at the US for parts is that we never had the VQ25DD motor in any vehicle offered here. The only VQ-related 2.5 was the VQ25HR in the G25 and I do not know if those parts are interchangeable (or other US-spec Nissan/Infiniti VQ's have the same part), you would have to do a cross-reference to see if that is the case. If so then you may be able to find the individual parts somewhere here.
