I am new here, so I hope this topic has not been recently discussed, and if so, I apologize.
Now I know unique exhaust sounds are not limited to just one model and brand of an automobile. In fact, if the engine in one car matches a completely different car, they can sound very similar if they're both tuned with the same after market parts. Even though that is true, The Nissan Skyline GT-R is known for having an amazing Exhaust noise when tuned up. The noise I am talking about in particular is very popular. If you watch Japanese videos on youtube, most of those guys GT-R's have this exact sound. This exhaust sound was in the final installment of the Freeway Speedway series, which the guys purple GT-R R33 makes this exact noise, but it was in the movie 2Fast 2Furious, that I first heard this sound. It was then that I wanted to a Nissan Skyline.
Now I am a Newbie when it comes to the parts of a car, and I don't intend on being one for long, but I am asking anyone who can explain what makes that car sound that way to please explain everything to me. Does it have something to do with the wastegate system.
If you guys want an example of what I'm talking about. here's a clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUSmxJAKBYY
