Considering getting a new V35, and found this on a sales website. Does anyone have any 'official' information about them? Is this just a project car or did Nismo actually sell these?

It sounds good. I never heard about it before. Also question. Is it in your currency. that would be a bit cheaper maybe 10%. Still high tho. Other than that It sounds good.

We have high auto tax, a new 08 Z will cost you $AU63k + on roads, just to give an idea. However, the tax is generally greater on sports cars, so the difference between US/AU prices on a more 'regular' car are not as big. G's/Skylines were not officially imported here, so to buy one you have to wait approx 2 years for SEVS to kick in (Specialist and Enthus Vehicle Scheme) to import a car. Auto tax is not on imported cars, other than stamp duty, so people that import them can basically charge what they want. Can be new or used, but has to have been approved by SEVS and have appropriate compliance approved. So, I can import any V35 coupe up to 2007 model, but I have to wait at least another year to import a G37, or until it gets approved by SEVS (which is normally 1.5 - 2 years).

Going by redbook.com.au, a stock 03-04 350GT coupe is valued at around $AU32k on trade in (with around 70k kms) and around $AU35-36 for private sale (with same amount of kms) Obviously vehicles with higher or lower kms will have higher or lower values.

Its an 04.

Wow,

And here in Canada we are pissed because we pay 6-8 k more for the G. Wow so to own a G/350gt over there is a privilege.

Wow I am still shocked. I knew it was more expensive because my sister was there few times and she told me. But Damn.

Considering the price of a new 350z, that's not bad I guess.

On the pic in your sig, what is the little thing sticking out on your trunk? Is it a keyhole cover?

Reverse camera. When active mirrors fold downwards to the ground and tv switches to reverse cam. Factory.

Its funny though, I head over to the GTR/Skyline forums from time to time, and its so funny seeing people go gah-gah over Skylines in the US, the amount of money they spend on importing them etc etc, its weird cause over here they are a dime a dozen and pretty dang cheap. But yeah, its the one thing I don't like about AU, its the high auto tax (similar to UK).

bumpity. Ok, I want one of these rare babies, the kit is HOT. That is one sweet front bumper. So its essentially just got all Nismo stuff sold as factory, ala Nismo Z.

Babelfish did a pretty bad translation, no, no English, and these can only be purchased at Nismo dealerships in Japan (or via import).
