Go to amazon.com and search for "silvia 240sx key" and they'll pop up. They have red, black, and green.

Hey Guys,

Here is my review:

I have one of these keys I got off of Ebay. I actually got a comment from it by my locksmith where I got the key cut for my Zenki. He said he had never seen a key quite like it and said he thought it was very sharp looking. I have to agree that it is a very nice looking key and the silvia "badge" is made of good quality, but I did have a BIG problem with it the first day using it. The "key" part came out from the "handle" when I put the key in to open my trunk. It didn't take much pressure for this to happen. I did not abuse the key in any way. The problem lies with the key part being glued into the handle part with very little glue. It is not just one piece, but two of them.

After it broke, I was a little upset especially because it was the first day of use. I immediately used my spare and drove to Home Depot and went down the aisle where the glue is kept and bought "Liquid Nails" for metal/steel applications. It came in a small clear box with two other types of Liquid Nails. Kind of like a trial size. The metal adhesive is actually an epoxy and was very easy to use. I took a flat sheet of styrene plastic and put some epoxy on it. I then took a toothpick and stirred the epoxy together into a mix. Then picked up the mixture on the end of the toothpick and applied it to both the key section and the hole in the handle where the key part fit and then put them carefully together. Cleanup was very easy if you do it right away before the epoxy hardens. I also roughened the parts where the epoxy would be applied with a metal needle file.

The key has held up so far and seems to be fixed for a long time to come.

The best thing about it.......... It adds up to 7 H.P. to the car! (I wish!)

Hope this helps in your decision!

I've only had the Silvia key for about a week or so. It truly is a very nice key. It is even quite heavy. I just wish it had been welded together instead of glued. I also have a GT-R key for my Kouki and have had no problems with it as it is all one piece and is an official Nissan product.

Looks pretty cool. I'd have to go with a red one, were I purchasing it.

My vote is for the Nismo key blank.

The "Nismo" or "GT-R" keys that are OEM from Nissan are made of longer lasting quality than this Silvia key on Ebay, Amazon, etc. I have a GT-R key for my Kouki and it is a very nice and high quality key. The aftermarket Silvia badge key is a very nice key to look at but it won't take the abuse as good being that it is two pieces glued together as opposed to a one piece key like the Nismo or GT-R key. The Silvia key is nice to have as a spare and may look good if you show your car, but it may not hold up to the daily driver car.

I have this key:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

On this keychain:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NISMO-LANY...%3A50

The most expensive upgrade my left pocket has ever gotten. Its totally JDM and since it directly interfaces with my pocket it can add up to 5 seat of your pants hp

HHAHAHAHAA OMFG I'm getting that lanyard too, I want a better one then the crappy one my work gave me. I'll get two and put the other in my right pocket, to help with the weight distribution. be putting down some serious numbers with that.

How do you like that key? Is it of good quality? Is it a two part key or one?

Or check ebay.

I'd go with the Blank Nismo, the Silvia key is a bit too flash for me.

Not sure if you care or not, but I believe that this key is not an authentic Nismo part.

$60.00!! Ouch!! It is a nice key and I did pay a lot for the bootleg Silvia key as well as the GT-R key, but $60 for a Nismo key. I might pay about $40 or so for it. I'd rather have a real JDM Silvia key if I were spending that much money. If I remember correct, the last real Silvia key went for a heluva lot of money.

Has anyone who bought one of these Silvia keys had any problems with with them coming apart like mine did?
