i called nissan near my house and they told me that my 60k service would be 595.89 i thought that was kind of odd because id been told it would be close to a G. So i asked him and he told me a long list of things of which most i cant remember but he didnt mention timing belt so i asked him if timing belt was included in the service and he said that they are chain drivin they dont have timing belts... ive been told numerous times on this site to get my timing belt replaced or look out for timing belt failure so.... im i trippin or is that guy a fool?

That guy is definitely a fool. The VG has a timing belt... actually, that I know of, all VG's have a timing belt. Not sure about over seas as they had a few other VG's but over here they're all belts.

That guy has no idea what he is talking about. The biggest part of the 60k service is the timing BELT.

i just called back right now and spoke with somebody else and now they are saying that the 60k service doesnt include the timing belt and that it only covers the things they stated like filters fuel injectors and all this **** and that the timing belt is an extra $775.95. for the timing belt alone! does this sound right cuz it doesnt to me!

Typical. We've got 4 Nissan Dealers in town and out of all of them, I trust none of them to do any work on my or my friends Z's.

I once argued with a shop about injectors on a stock VG30DE not being top feed.

*shrug*
