Hello people

I was just wondering if someone could answer this, but what is the signficance of Nissan's "Red Emblem" and what's its meaning.

It's for a paper I'm doing, any help would be appreciated. I've tried searching on the net and reading some old Nissan booklets but it doesn't come up. So I'm trying this, asking in a forum.

Thanks in advance to those who would answer

Word on the street...lol. Always thought that was a funny line.

Anyway. I've wondered that as well. I've heard from some that it's to signify a turbo version of a car. To sorta back this up, look at any turbo Skyline, and I bet the T emblem on the G/T shield will be red or silver.

From what I've learned so far is that the "Red Emblem" has got something to do with Nissan's participation in the GT3 class Touring Car racing..

That's all so far.

I heard the red shields were turbo/GT3 class as well. I'm not sure how true it is, but that's what I've heard.

I recall my nonturbo GT R30s had a blue badge and the turbos a red, but every RS had a red one regardless so I'm not sure if it meant anything.
