Nissan Rogue Galaxy Nexus USB Compatibility Issue

I had been reading some issues that the audio system in the 2011 rogue does not recognize the Galaxy Nexus Phone when connected through USB due to the nexus not supporting USB mass storage.. How true is this?
If anyone has any personal experience with this let me know as well

No need for personal experience. The device must support USB mass storage (the very same support that makes accessing USB flash drives and USB hard drives possible). iPods/iPhones differ in that there is a standardized iPod/iPhone interface and there is no such Android counterpart. USB support for other devices is only for mass storage mode devices -- i.e to access media on your media card, not to output audio from apps, etc. It's typical for head units with USB to function this way. You can always refer to the 2011 Rogue manual (available online) for details.

If you want audio from your apps you'll need to use A2DP (if supported in that model year) or Aux in.
