Hi,

We had an issue of Nissan jumping out of park while parked at an incline, and I found only 1 complaint about that at...
www.carproblemzoo.com/nissan/rogue/powe ... oblems.php
Case #12 reported on July 20, 2023

I have not been able to find out anymore details about that case. Has anyone heard of that case or any complaints involving Nissan jumping out of gear while in Park?

We are very interested to reach out to anyone with knowledge of that. Please feel free to PM me too.

THanks!

-George

It's possible your cable is misadjusted and not pushing the arm on the tranny all the way to the Park position, such that the pawl isn't seating fully inside the tranny. It's also possible the pawl is damaged if it's been dropped into P while still moving. The cable adjustment is the first thing to check.

You can see if your vehicle was part of the recall by entering your VIN here. https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

Oh yah, I remember that. We only saw a couple of them, there was a QC issue with one lot of shift knobs from a specific vendor. The OP's ride should have had a recall notice if it was involved, and that should still be active in the system if the recall was never performed:
