Hi Everyone,

Stealth Cords is looking for a Nissan Rogue Test Vehicle for our Stealth Cords SRD radar detector power cord.

Stealth Cords provides discrete accessory power cord solutions that connect your compatible power accessory (in this case, a radar detector) to your factory powered rear view mirror. Stealth Cords eliminate the unsightly power cord stretched to your cigarette lighter.

As a participant we will ask you to provide feedback on your installation and provide us with digital pictures of the process. We will ship you an SRD cord of your choice for the test for free and in exchange for your few minutes of help you will be allowed to keep the cord.

Plus, you will be the first to have a cord for your Rogue. To be eligible you must have the following:1. A Nissan Rogue that is equipped with a powered rear view mirror.2. Own one of the following radar detectors (Beltronics: Pro RX55/65 or STI or Vector, Escort Passport 8500/9500 OR Valentine 1).3. Own or have access to a Voltmeter.

If you meet the above requirements and you're interested in being a test vehicle please complete the form located here -> (http://www.stealthcords.com/sh....html)

Applications will be handled on a first come-first served basis.

Once the test has been completed. We will let you know, so you can purchase one for your car.

All the Best, Thanks,

Stealth Cords

Cmon guys.. Free stuff! Not too often you'll see something like this come along. Plus it's something that would be fantastic to have! I hate seeing those cords hang down. Who wouldn't want to hardwire it and have nothing showing?

We've received a few questions regarding our product and becoming a tester, so I wanted to post a quick message to hopefully clarify a few questions.

In regards to our product, take a look below at a before and after shot.

Before (w/ factory Escort power cord):

After (w/ Stealth Cords 8" SRD cord):

It is one of those items that makes a HUGE difference and once you have an SRD cord you will be wondering what you did without one.

In regards to becoming a (beta) tester... Each make/model of vehicle uses a different wiring harness and colored wires. We've found that Nissan/Infiniti usually uses a black (ground), silver (power) and pink/brown (accessory power). What we're trying to figure out is which color wires to tap into for your vehicle make/model so we can include the exact wire color in our instruction manual. For example: In my '08 G35 I have three wires that plug into the back of my mirror. A black (ground) and a silver and brown wire. Both the silver and brown supply 12v power, but only the brown in an accessory wire, meaning it is turned off with the ignition so your detector doesn't stay on.

That is where our test comes in. We will ship you an SRD cord of your color and length choice and we will ask you to determine the appropriate wires to tap and take a few digital photos.

So it is literally a few minute job to determine which wires to use. The best part is you get to keep the cord!

I hope this clarifies things.

Best Regards,

Stealth Cords

Never seen these! I have a V1 and would like one! Can't I just buy the one for the Murano and be done with it? Why wait for a Rogue specific? Don't both cars use the same powered mirror?

Hi jsherm007,

Our cords are compatible with all Infiniti/Nissan powered mirrors, it is just a matter of determining the correct wires to tap. If you have a voltmeter, this is very easy to determine.

If not, we should know in the next week or so, we will keep you posted.

Thanks for the interest,

Stealth Cords

Please PM me or email me when you have the product figured out!

I don't want to run a 20ft phone line in my Rogue around the A pillar, under the dash, the seat and up into the cetner consule if I don't have to!

Can I order one now, and you let me know what the results are, or should I just wait for the Rogue specific?

I don't blame you.

You can definately order one now, simply select the cord you want and select other for the vehicle and specify Rogue.

Be sure to enter the discount code in my signature at check-out and I will ship it out as soon as we have the correct wires confirmed. It should be in the next week or so. But, I will keep you posted.

Thanks!

This looks like the invisicord I had for my 2004 G35. The invisicord coupled with mike's mount was very cool. Is this the same product with a new name from http://www.invisicord.com? I had found that cord all over the g35 and 350Z forums.

EDIT: looks like http://www.invisicord.com has a "new baby" special going so a 12" is only $14.25 shipped free! Looks like I will try this out, but will keep an eye on what progresses with the stealth cord version.

Went to place an order... shipping options are: add $4.60 for priority or Express mail $16.25. I think that's a bit steep to ship a wire. Why no 1st class mail for $1 or less?

Guess I'll pass and run the phone wire for the V1 under the trim this weekend, since the temp is getting up to 34F here in MN (that's a 56 degree swing from te -22F it was this morning).

Can't justify spending $20.55 or more for a 12" wire when 25ft of phone cord is free from my last car. Great idea though, but overpriced when I get to the bottom line. I think you'd sell a lot more at about $10/ea.

Hi Jsherm007,

Thanks for checking us out.

I ran the numbers including Priority shipping (3-5 business days) and the NicoClub discount, I have a total of $18.95.

We also went ahead and added First Class.

As an FYI - we don't charge any extra shipping or handling fees.

I have to say I'm impressed how quick a suggestion was put in place - adding the 1st class. The numbers shake out to $16.67 with the new rate for anyone interested, I almost pulled the trigger.

Subtotal: $15.95 Discount coupon : $1.60 Discounted subtotal: $14.35 Shipping: $2.32

TOTAL: $16.67

When I sent my information to sign up to be a tester, I figured I was too late. Surprise for me, I got picked!

Once I figured out which wire was which, the 2 ends on the stealth cord went into the back of the powered mirror connector without any trouble. I'm going to figure out some way to mount the radar detector above the mirror at some point. I was planning to purchase a regular flat cord and run it all around the dash and windshield. This was so much more simple and (even if I had to purchase it) cheaper too.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks Stealth Cords!!!
