Hello All,
I have a nissan rogue 2018 at 43k, bought it at certified used. I am starting to feel a harsher ride quality. Usually drive by myself so the car is not loaded much. Even small imperfections seems to be causing a lot of shake and vibration in the car. Also, the bumps end up hitting the body frame and the plastics inside start to get rattling. Thinking the stock coil springs could be changed for different one. Could kindly suggest a better one for more comfort ? Not sure if the coil springs are the cause. Any suggestions/advice welcome.

Thanks

At 43k, it's unlikely that the springs are the issue.

Let's start with tire pressure, then have a shop check the struts... could be failed. Also, look for unusual tire wear.

If it was a CPO car, is it out of warranty? If not, that's their problem - take it in and have it checked out.

Thank you AZhitman.
Yes I will check for tirewear. I am setting recomended tirepressure at 33 psi.
Yes is still under warranty. I did't know until you told that the dealer will have it checked. For sure I will take it to them. Will update here the results..

I have the qashqai 2015 (rogue select) which is UK made. It comes with standard ContiSport tires.
Had to replace them after 40K km. Decided to choose cheap chinese tires Grenlander - costing AUD$120 a tire.Bought 4 and got free alignment and also free yearly rotation thrown in. 225/45 R19.
I don't want to spend $350 to $400 a tire for contisport.
The seller recommends 40 psi but I pump it up to 42 psi using the usual gas station free air since I prefer a firm ride. But on normal highway, it is vibration free and quiet.
At 33 psi, your tire should feel soft.
Do you feel any vibration on the steering when it is idle?

Get coil buffers, I use them to increase height and improve ride quality. :woot:

Follow air pressure on placard.

Moreover, you can downsize to a smaller wheel and get a tire with more sidewall to cushion your ride even more. Today’s bigger wheels is just harsh on crappy roads.

A seat pillow under you if that don’t bother you.

Buffers are in the link below.
