I have recently installed the Tow Hitch Wire Harness Kit Part Number 999T8GU000. Everything works fine, except for 1 part. The right turn signal will not work on the wiring. Tested the 4 pin wire and everything tests good but the right blinker. Either the turn signal or the hazard lights cause the right light not to do anything. The light still functions correctly on the car itself just not through the wire harness.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

bad connection. make sure the pin on the plug is pushed in all the way. or bend it so it makes better contact.

Which connection would I need to check that controls the right. I've looked at the wiring diagram on the install document and I am not clear on which one controls the right turn signal?

the connection where the wiring connects to the tail light. usually right behind the tail light.

On the factory wire kit it only installs on the driver side tail light and there is a converter installed.

Not sure how the passenger side ties in

impossible, and not true. there HAS TO BE a passenger side connection to control the right turn signal.

As I had mentioned in a previous post. I did not install an aftermarket wire harness.

This is the item that I had installed. It only connects onto the Driver side light. It has several cables that plug in and swap and I am not sure which connector would be the main issues with why the Right side does not work only on the blinking.

Thanks

LOOKS LIKE PIN6 ON THE CONVERTER ( SCHEMATIC ) IS WHAT SENDS THE STOP/TURN SIGNAL. CHECK THAT.

Okay so I got my testing unit in today and I did some tracing of some wires. I have shared the Wiring Diagram for easier access. I tested Pin 4 on Connector 6 and no light blinking. Tested Pin 2 on Connector 5 and no light blinking, Tested Pin 6 and Pin 10 and no light blinking. Tested from Pin 1 on Connector 1 and no light blinking. Looks like the issue is an existing wire in the car. Wherever Cable 1 goes (its gray) I believe is the problem. I did look on the right tail light wire plug and none of those cables match the one that goes to Pin 1 on connector 1. Not sure where to go from here. I am guessing it might come from a relay at the front? But I don't have any diagrams for that work or knowledge.
