Nissan Rogue 2009: purpose of rubber cap next to hatch light?

Hi,

What is the purpose of the rubber cap next to the light on the door of the trunk/hatch?

Thanks for any thoughts. I have no problem with the light, just wondering if the cap conceals a screw or sensor of some kind.

Completely forgot that under the spoiler.

I think it sprays wiper fluid. I never use rear wipers.

You can feel a small pin size outlet hole on it.
