Nissan Quest 2004 - Automatic Lift Gate

Hello, I am new to NICO Club and I'm impressed with all the good content!

a member of our family, 04 Quest 3.5 SL 97K miles, has been running smoothly for 12 years so far! well maintained, on time. The issue we've have been having with her, the rear life gate (auto), which sometimes opens and other times it doesn't it. after several attempts to fix the issue, the motor seems to be running ok (when it runs), replaced lifters/pistons and checked the motor arm if it's lose or not... I guess I am not troubleshooting in the right place. Is there a fix for this issue? I am looking for advise.
