Nissan Quest 2001 Instrument Cluster Lights replacement

Hey guys,

I recently just got my uncles old 2001 nissan quest van. And the lights in the instrument cluster is really dim, and I want to replace them. So I order these:

I've tried two types of bulbs, halogen and led and both of them light up very well but for some reason the light doesn't light up the speedometer at all. I replaced the signal lights and they light up very nicely! But the speed gauges are pretty bad, so I was wondering if there are like light diffusors in there that might change the light from the led emitted. I just get some light in very small areas. The left side are still with the OEM lights and the right side are the installed LED ones. Attached are some photos:
