What the hell is this, an Obama Sentra? Free VDC and TC for all? Why did I pay $23k for my Alti Coupe 3.5 for no VDC..... :D

Nice to see the Sentra coming along. I was happy to find out my '06 1.8 SE came with a front sway bar...

Seeing as how I would burn before owning anything CVT besides a snow mobile, $15,520 isn't bad... but I'd have a hard time justifying that over a Versa... and 20k for a sentra (SER) just seems kinda wrong. What else comes on the SER besides 60 more hp?

The SER used to be 17-18K at least for the previous gen I thought, and the SPECV being a few hundred more. The new ones, like the old ones, follow the same convention, but I believe the price increase overall is due to the value you get. They come with all this new tech that is not found in the older model Sentra (like my previous gen B15), such as the examples stated in the first post.

Specifically, I believe the SER (177 hp) and SPECV (200 hp) come with nicer wheels, better brakes, more aggressive factory body kit, grill, spoiler, nicer tail lights, and headlights, all that stuff. But at 3000 lbs and lack of rear wishbone independent suspension, it's a fat pig.

But I can understand your outrage. I was just as appalled when I learned that the new '05 Civics would cost me $17.7k for a base model w/ power windows/AC/Auto. I was like what the hell happened to the $14k base model? They said that was the base model for $17k.... Well I suppose that's why we have the cheaper FIT and Versa.

Also don't forget inflation, it is another reason why prices creep up (albeit not justifying all of the $2k+ increase in the B16 Sentra's pricing compared to the B15).

You gotta upgrade and update!!

P.S. Nice eyelids on the AC in your signature! It's done so well that the headlights almost look like they came that way. :bigthumb:
Why what is this change and update you talk about?? That's crazy talk.

Thanks, I had to custom fab and shake and bake those puppies to get them to look like that. And a little photoshop. :gapteeth:
