alright guys recently ive questioned the ownership of my ride. i was wondering if you would reccomend a price it might be worth if i decided to sell it. i have a 89 nissan 240sx SE silver and looks as if its been dusted with a sparkly silver paint, tinted windows all the stuff that comes with the nissan. the engine threw a rod so i put a 91 ka24de engine and transmission into the car. the car had 110000 miles on it and the engine had 56k. i put the engine together and cleaned it up, new spark plug wires, obx header, catco cat, magnaflow exhaust, mugen intake, 300zx fuel filter, cleaned and painted engine and valve cover, optima redtop batt. on the interior i took out the entire interior and put it back together black, i put sunpro gauges in the center vent, sony xplod deck, infinity kappa speakers, grant steering wheel, neon gauges, sparco pedal, ichibon shift boot and ebrake. ractive seat covers and shift knob, i shaved the rear antenae and put in a rally one on top of the car. also a nissan alarm is in the car. some carbom fibver pilot gauges and a new cig lighter ha. i know this isnt alot of big mods but it overall looks good. on the outside aside from some stickers are motegi ff7 gloss black rims with a chrom lip surrounded in falken 512 tires. also a bomz racing spoiler. i have pics ill be trying to post that are sort of recent. just give me a rough estimate what you think i could sell this car for, i have over 6000 into it. i built this car from scratch, the ground up, took me over a year to finish., body has absolutely no rust, but a small dent in the rear corner panel ill get fixed soon. sorry this is long and probably boring to read but id appreciate a response, i live in wisconsin but this car has never been driven in winter

Could probably get anywhere from 2-5 on ebay. For anyone who actually realizes it's a 15 year old car, but since you have some mods, I'd say those people would pay 1.5-3

Probably could get 3-4 grand for it. The only problem with modifying a car is that if you go to sell it you have greatly narrowed the group of people who would be interested in the car. Aluminum wing is gonna cause a lot of kids to be interested in it and not as many "older" people. Not knocking your car. Just saying.

I don't know, personally I would want to pay in the 1.5k-3k range for the car. But it seems like we always tend to underquote 240s anymore. If we go by the bluebook it is worth about 1.5- mid 2k depending on options and stuff, but the cars renewed popularity means they are selling for a lot more. I mean there are wrecked cars on ebay selling over 1k. If you can find someone who wants the car bad enough, they will pay a lot for it. I could see you getting around 5k (maybe a little more) if you wait for the right buyer (someone who likes all that you have done to the car and wants it BAD.)

i believe you can sell it for whatever your asking price will be.... using the booming 240sx scene as an assistant to raise the value of your car. your best target will be towards these newcomers who recently decide to get a 240 because of it's popularity. you can stick in catchy words such as "drift machine, sr20det ready, rare car, rwd, etc...."

i recently got a chance to meet a kid who came by to the shop (not a shop affiliate with honda tuning) where i work at with his car. this dude bought a integra with a full body kit which didn't even fit perfectly for 9k with a salvage title. why? i don't know, but as long as something is popular for that time being, you will be able to fetch more than expected.

and for the people who's been searching for a 240 before the whole drifting scene boom will always continue to search for the lowest price for the best condition they can find one for. so targeting these folks will be a tough one....

You might get lucky and find the right person. Right now is the time to sell with the whole 240 craze. I wouldn't take no less than 3K for it. Its well worth 4K in that shape. You would have a better chance selling it without the wing.
