Aside from the ECU, did the Nissan President have any other items that made it faster than the US models?

I was thinking that maybe there were subtle engine differences too.

I remember reading something in R&T that the JDM models had higher horsepower units.

Wrongo. Only more weight for extra luxury items. Then there were the extended wheelbases on the top models.

on some japanese vehicles this is true, but not on the VH45/President/Q45

Any power differences in Japan and middle east have to do with the higher BTU fuels in use in these areas.

Even non oxygenated US fuels are "cooled down" to reduce costs and improve enviroment [no benzene and low aromatics] thus lower BTU.
