Just saw this on Facebook, posted on the Nissan page.

The car looks, at least what is seen of it, to be kinda sharp looking. Does anyone know where to find some better pics of the actual production car and not the test mule/camouflaged car?

Kinda got me interested.

Wow...talk about a nice looking Sentra. That thing is kinda hot.

But...it's weird that they are calling the concept the Sylphy. That was a trim level of the last two generations of the Bluebird here in Japan. I wonder if they are going to take it off on it's own platform now.

Nissan has used the Bluebird platform for lots of different models in the world.

The U13 Altima was a bluebird here in Japan in the early-late 90's.

Mark my words... if there is an SE-R version of this, I will be waiting. Gives me time to save a sizeable down payment. I miss my B15 Spec V.

WHY is Nissan so obsessed with creases? Creases look like s***. And they're going to exaggerate shoddy panel fitment. Not what you want on a budget model. Still, it looks seven trillion times better than the B16. But that's not hard...the Buick Rendezvous looks better than the B16. The real question is: will it drive well enough to be worth buying. Because the B16 doesn't.

It would be nice, but I don't think thats Nissan's goal with this car anymore. Sure, the older ones are definitely entertaining. Gas sipping, 5spd, agile, and simple is what the Sentra used to be.

Now the only thing it needs to be is a gas sipper. People that just need to get from point A to point B don't care if their car is fast or fun. They just want something that gets decent mpg with a nice sound system and a decent ride. The new Sentras are perfect for that.

Not to say that the B16 is a total sac of boring. Just compared to the B13, the B16 is kind of meh.

The details look nice. I want to know about the proportions. If it looks like a cat doing this:

Then I'll pass.

I like the teaser pics. :chuckle: I need to go visit our friends at the dealership and get the release date. If they have one in a manual, I'll see if I can sweet talk them into letting me have it for the weekend. :woot:

MoD's right. Everything else is better than the B16.
