'03, QX4. Bought at 130K, currently at 180K. Noteworthy repairs/conditions.
170K. Sending up a smokescreen at startup, mostly cold or cool. I mean see from outer space, 50 feet wide and high. Replaced valve covers and it stopped.
Rear main seal leaking, has been since at least 140K. ATP Automotive AT-205 Re-Seal took care of it for 10K or so, now leaking again. Only uphill.
It's always used oil, but it's getting into the fill the oil, check the gas mode. Used 6, or was it 7 quarts on vacation, admittedly 4800 miles. No smoke, but that's just too much. Part 1 of why I hope to replace it in the near future.
Paint. The evil clearcoat. It's been going for at least 6 years now, getting worse every year. I've played games to kind of make it presentable before vacation the past couple of years, but it's lipstick on a pig. Part 2 of why I hope to replace it soon.
It's been a good, very reliable, impressively capable, 4WD vacation truck for some time now, but needing rings at 180K and needing paint is more than I'm up for. Still runs very well though. Hopefully it will pass smog so I can sell it.
