Hello,

I am replacing my nissan pathfinder 2007 factory default stereo with a stereo i bought online, i bought also the converter for the 2 prong part, to convert it from 2 to 1 and bought a female end, so i dont have to strip the wires, rather just use the female end to connect to the car, then on the other side of the female use the loose cables and crimp to the new stereo, however i need help below:

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Green/Black
Car Radio Ground Wire: Chassis
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Red
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Green
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Red
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: N/A
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Black
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Gray
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Orange

This information seems ok with me except for 2 wires:
its a blue with white strip, it says "Amp turn - (12v)
the 2nd one is
The black ground..

My questions are, is the blue white strip amp turn on negative - required? is it really needed? 2nd question, for the black ground, how do i ground it, can i just attach it to a screw on the stereo or something? pictures help if anyone can provide :)

Thanks in advance

blue/white is the amp turn on wire, if you dont have a factory amp dont connect this to anything.
black just match to the black from the other harness just as you are doing with the other colors.

Flawed advice

What if you don't have a factory amp, but you have aftermarket amps? Then you connect blue to aftermarket amp(s).
