Does anybody know exactly how long Nissan warranties their vehicles for paint and corrosion?
I have an 06 Frontier (~5.5yrs old). The paint is flaking from the a-plr right next to the windshield on the RH side and both roof ditches towards the front. The LH roof ditch has already started rusting.
Love my truck, but after $1800 for timing chains and guides at 71K, and hubs and u-joints at 80K, I'm getting frustrated.
I also had an oil leak the dealer worked on 4 times and never fixed. It was found and fixed at my expense when they replaced the timing chains.
I had a transmission pump valve replaced at ~8K under warranty.

Any knowledge on the paint warranty?

According to the owners warranty manual, Nissan does not cover Environmental pollution or conditions, including acid rain, hail or lightning. Vehicle neglect or abuse. Accidents, collisions, alterations. Stone chips, scratches, or other paint damage that leads to surface rust. They won't cover soot, bird droppings, tree sap, metal particles or bugs either.

Mine has not been neglected and/or exposed to abnormal conditions. It is all about $$$ over customer satisfaction.
The Frontier has been prone to paint flaking off early in its life. The electric blue was the worse color to flake, but others have also. Mine is white.
I am going to pursue the issue using all my resources.
