I didn't paint mine...I sent it off to be powder coated. The letters aren't white but sanded to the metal after they powder coated it. Check out this site: http://www.trgcoating.com/

Get high temperature spray paint(VHT or DupliColor), spray paint and bake the part. You will find the instruction on the can. No need to paint the letters white. Paint the whole cover, grab a piece of sand paper and sand the letters down. It looks better that way. trgcoating.com did mine too.

i went and got some high temp flat black paint and also some white. cleaned the VC, then put about 3 coats of flat black, then used a small roller and did the white. got the roller from ACE hardware. thought i would go with the colors of the car... black/white. now that you told me about just sanding the letters, it woulda been a helluva lot easier to do that, but i took my time and got it right. whattya think?

Nice! Looks like you did a great job. I just found this on eBay if you wanted to get a powder coated one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
