I know this should go in the Nissan section -- it is posted there but no one has answered me - so here it is -- should be easy for any good mechanic

This is a bit of a long story -- but i need to get all the details out to get an accurate diagnosis -- part one -- after sitting for six months my car 1990 Z32 2+2 has a bit of steering wheel chatter when braking lightly -- not with firm braking -- have the 3K brembo big brake kit -- part two -- after driving quite fast (45 mph) threw water i did not see on the road the power steering seemed to disappear -- drove like a tank (like when your steering knuckle is bad) -- went to local mechanic -- i was suspecting the speed sensitive connector on the rack might be loose after the impact with the water -- went to a local mechanic -- drove it into the bay -- I play with the connections on the speed sensor circuit while he is turning it lock to lock in both directions -- he diagnosed bad outer tie rods -- get it off the lift -- power steering is back ! PS the steering knuckle on mine was good. The questions:

Was is the speed sensor circuit or did turning it lock to lock unbind something ?

Will out of round tires due to the car sitting cause steering wheel chatter with light braking ?

Will bad outer tie rods cause steering wheel chatter with light braking?

thanks for your knowledgeable help!

If you have all these problems, correcting them first will help diagnose what remains. Check the trueness of you rotors and hubs also.

BBK front and back to maintain braking performance proportion?

Also check your rack mount bushings.
