Amazing no one has learned from the Equifax hack.

This will make it easier for Nissan cars to be hacked. Nissan NA Mobile apps source code is included in this list.

The NissanConnect® Services app brings remote access, security, and convenience features from your Nissan to your compatible Android smartphone or Wear OS smartwatch. Start your engine, set customizable alerts, and get vehicle information - all without taking out your keys.

A lot of the code for Nissan AV Units is open-source anyway, it says it right on the boot screen. That doesn't give anyone your NC password, and all the late models have a CAN gateway that acts as a "guard dog" on the AV, preventing a bluetooth or WiFi hacker from pretending to be the ECM, TCM, ABS etc. Maybe an NC attacker can break your PW and roll your windows down or remote start your car, but he can't steal it or roll it off a cliff. For the most part, Nissan security is pretty damn good. I wouldn't worry too much.
