Nissan Maxima Speaker Buzz

There is a buzzing sound coming from my rear speakers in my 06 Maxima. At first it used to come and go. It seemed to only appear when it was cold outside and varied with the rpm. Now the buzzing is constant and the speakers are not playing. How can I fix this?

My first guess would be a bad bose amp for the affected speakers. They tend to buzz/fart/rattle when they go bad. Often they fail progressively, so what starts as intermittent buzzing will get more frequent and more intense until finally degrading to constant buzzing.

Do you have a Bose system in your Maxima? If so, the speaker amplifiers have died. There's one per speaker.

I just have the regular factory stereo system (not the Bose).
