Nissan Maxima auto door lock disable

I have a Nissan Maxima STI 2007 model, when it gets to about 20mph, the door lock automatically, does anybody know how to disable this annoying feature. If I want the doors locked for safety, I will lock them myself. Any suggestions reply to [email protected] Zigi.

Your question is kind of ironic. I hear North American Maxima owners complaining about exactly the opposite: that their doors DON'T lock themselves.

I'm with you, though, if I want them locked, I'll do it myself.

In answer to your question: it depends on which Maxima you have. I'm assuming you have the Teana Maxima, correct?

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with the Australian Max. Our (North American) Maximas don't have that feature.

If the manual doesn't tell you, I'd try calling a dealer, or maybe one of our other Australian members can chime in.
