Hi guys,
As part of a project, I need to calculate the energy given off as heat through the coolant in the radiator of a car and I used my friend's car because I don't have one.
I got the coolant temperature at the the thermostat side from the OBD data logger. But what I don't have (and need) is :
1. The temperature of the cold side of the radiator.
2. The flow rate at different times instances.
-----------
The data I have from the logger are :
1. Vehicle speed
2. Coolant temperature at the thermostat side
3. Air flow
4. Engine speed
5. Throttle position (%)
-----
Would someone have any information on the general values for coolant flow rate, and temperature of the cold side. I just need a rough value (ballpark figure), but the more accurate the better. I either need values from experiments on other Nissan Maximas 2007 3.5 SL, or from relations with the above 5 parameters.
The car uses an AC Delco 252-831 Water Pump
I thought I could find help here
Thanks guys.
