There is a ton of news surrounding this revolutionary new car, so everyone please add links to news stories regarding the Leaf as you encounter them. Here's one story get things started but I know there are literally hundreds of interesting stories out there.


So Canada gets only 40 Leafs for 2011, they went on sale today and sold in 20 minutes! Here's the article:

August North American Sales Update: Nissan Leaf Sales beat the Chevy Volt for the 5th consequetive month, total Aug Sales = 1362 compared to Volt sales = 302. Full Article:

the leaf deserves to be the car of the year and the Volt makes no sense to buy. You essentially get a 38 MPH electric car, you might as well save alot of money and buy a Pruis, Honda Civic or even a Camry Hybrid and save money. The Volt only goes 35 miles on electric max and then has to start to re-charge off gas, makes no sense.

Does Nissan really want to sell Leafs? My impression is that ICE makers make EVs chiefly to raise their CAFE scores.
