I was looking at the web page of Nissan Dualis (aka Rogue ) at Nissan.co.jp and I found this accessory page

I wish I didn't see all those accessories. Two way remote controls, side mirror "edge" cameras, folding side mirrors, etc. I know Japanese people like all the electronic gadgets, but I like them as well!

Sure I can find all of them and more as after market from ebay or online stores but, I wish Nissan Canada offers those accesories to Canadian customers as well (they even didn't offer the OEM crossbars, that Nissan USA offers )

My CANADIAN NISSAN dealer installed the ugliest (http://www.flickr.com/photos/60569238@N03/5565874935/) remote starter ever! When I was negotiating, I can pay at least $300 more (seriously) to get this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60569238@N03/5565874989/ I will(hopefully) use my Rogue for many years and I have to live with this ugly remote. But wait a minute? Nissan Japan offers this beautiful two way "communication" remote to their customers???? Why do I have to live with a cheap after market remote, offered and installed by the dealer????

I sometimes wish I bought a Ford or Dodge, etc. At least I will have all the accessories company offers. Now I am l jealous of Japanese customers, although I bought a same/similar car...I think Nissan Canada is in wrong hands..

I guess, i am the only Nissan Rogue owner, who has complaints about not to have an original accessory. All the other North American owners are debadging, tinting, blacking out, removing the amber signal reflector, installing 21" rims, changing the bulbs with LEDs, and all other "pimp my ride" style things on their cars...

I had a 1 way Compustar remote starter installed in my Ford that I had before my Rogue, and what remote did I get? The one that looks exactly like the Nissan push button start...lol.



I'm probably going to get the exact same thing installed in my Rogue, but I'm thinking about adding the Drone Mobile service, which basically lets me use my iPhone as my remote starter...

But I hear you about all the accessories that are offered for the Dualis and Qashqai. The Rogue seems to be the red headed step child of the Nissan lineup, in both their first party and aftermarket accessories...

just to go off topic for a second does anyone know how nissan prodution was affected by the terrible events in Japan?

Nissan resumed full production last week and will continue until they have a parts shortage. They did release a statement Thursday saying they're "highly considering" moving some engine production to the US.

The Iwaki plant was the hardest hit. Kyushu plant makes the Rogue. I suspect there will be interruption of supplies, etc for the next while.

I'm guessing that even though Oppama plant is open, this is going to make it even harder to get a Juke this year. I realize that's not Rogue related, but I'm considering picking up a Juke later this year and giving the Rogue to my wife as the "family car" as a replacement for her Altima...

Don't forget the Juke is "Recommend Premium Fuel Only".
Whether it needs it is a big debate right now on the Juke forums.
