The new Skyline Crossover, based on the U.S. Infiniti EX model has been launched in Japan this past month. It's main difference is that it uses the G37/Skyline 370GT engine, instead of the 3.5L used in the U.S.

While initial reports on customer feeling of the car haven't been found (in English), it seems that if it follows in the path of the Murano, it could sell very well in Japan.

Nissan launched the Murano in or about late 2005 early 2006 and its sales have been very respectable. I usually see on on the roads pretty much daily, along with the Rouges JDM counterpart, the Dualis.

Here's a press release found on AutoGuide.com about the new Crossover.

The front is definitely distinct & there's no mistaking it's maker but to me it just falls off so quickly as it gets towards the back as a blahhh whatever else type of vehicle. I personally don't care for this type of style/look/use etc vehicle from whoever _______ enter manufacturer here...

I do love the sports wagons though & I think they're just crazy sexy for whatever reason I do. Not sure if this is a photoshop pic or a one off custom Stegea job but I really like this pic!

Now if they somehow made a sleek sport wagon out of a GTR or used the feel of the nose from the new GTR on something really classy and clean like this That would be a winner in my book too.

I even like the later V70 Volvo wagons too.

RussellThe SUV-ish kinda thing though... I just can't find a taste for.
