After monitoring the latest Grand Am Rolex and Koni Cup results, it appears there won't be anybody racing a Infiniti or Nissan product in 2009. NICO had some involvement with a certain 350Z team "sponsored" by another automotive magazine, but that team hasn't shown up for any events this year. Anybody know what's up with them?

The other 350Zs that used to compete in Grand Am Cup seem to have disappeared into the woodwork. One was sold to a European team that competes in the GT4 series and who knows where the Unitech cars went to? Redline Time Attack? SCCA? NASA?

Even more disappointing is the disappearence of the HLM G35 GT cars. Last I heard, these big buck cars are sitting unused due to a financial deal gone south. No funds for R&D, no money for crew or travel = one dead effort. Other rumored G35/G37 efforts have retreated as quickly as the economy has gone south. Does anybody have any information on this program, or has everything gone completely dark?
