Nissan/Infiniti cars make appearance in GTA:San Andreas

I've been compiling a list of what real-world cars inspired the cars in GTA:SA. Many of the SA cars are very very close to real world cars. I'm surprised Rockstar hasn't had to pay royalties for some of the designs. When I get home I'll get some screenshots so you can see.

I have seen the Infiniti Q45/Nissan President and R34 GTR. The GTR is incredibly close to the real thing...down to the taillights, quasi-widebody look, and shape of the car. The only innaccuracy is the front fascia/headlights, which look more like an R32. The Q is the version with the chrome grille, and not the one with the hood that covers the grille-opening (the t, I beleive).

Normally, it is impossible to take screenshots on a PS2, but in GTA:SA, you can save pictures taken with the camera to your memory card, and I have software that lets me transfer anything on a memory card to my 128mb SD card, so I'll get some pics when I get back home.

By the way, for those who care, here's a link to my list as it is right now...I just threw it together a couple minutes ago.

Don't forget the dumped and chopped 68 GMC (grille gives it away as GMC not Chevy) lowrider aka "Slamwagon" This truck is great!!

That's right...forgot about the Slamvan. I would have mistaken it for a Chevy, too...

I had a pimped out one with the flame paint job and chrome and such...but the blasted Balla's shot it and blew it up...when they shot they startled three or four cars, who all crashed into eachother/me and I couldn't escape...GRRR!

Are you sure it wasnt just the newer Nissan Cima-based version of the Q45? (The current Q, the chubby one with big headlights, on which the current Nissan President is now based).

Please confirm! If there really was a G50-chassis Q45... I'd buy a PS2 -RIGHT NOW-

PC Version won't be here until fall/winter 2005.

I'm going to post a picture of the one from GTA later today, though. I'lll have pics of at least a few of the others too.

Awww...crap. I just realized, my roommate took my sd card and Pocket PC to work today. I'll get the pics as soon as he gets home, though.

Whenever I am standing near the Elegy (R34) people walk by and compliment me on my car. Some guy walked by and said "Man, don't take this the wrong way, but...I love your car!" Very cool. They always make fun of my riced out minivan though...

You must have a girlfriend in the game. Go to her house. There is a little icon by the front door that looks like 2 human sillhouettes overlapped. Step into that and have someone push a button on controller 2. This starts free-roam coop mode. It's fun as hell. Only drawbacks: both players must stay on screen, and you can only steal one car between the two of you, so no drag racing

i also found another 2 player icon mini game somewhere, it was in a pretty ghetto location in the courtyard of some rundown building

I LOVE THIS GAME! Been playing non-stop since break started.

1990-1993 Infiniti Q45. No grille, just like the actual car. So far I've seen them in a shade of blue like Nick's, a berry red, and a pearl white. Everything on the outside looks realistic, including the chrome door handles and the tail lights. There's no Infiniti badge on the nose in the game, and the interior doesnt really look like the real deal.

The wheels look like the 94-96 type.

Sorry, the screenshot thing didn't work. There's not a lot you can do to the Thunderchicken (that's what they called 'em in the first GTA), but you can put hydraulics and paint it, and put NOS on it. Oh, and you can put a wing on, I think.

The game keeps ****ing up my saves, I load the game and my garages will be empty. I've probably spent about $700k on cars in the game, and it's annoying as HELL to have them disappear.

My PS2 quit working today. It doesn't want to read discs. I'm still trying to beat Kadio battle 2: chain reaction before I start on GTA: San Andreas.

90-93 Q45 with a dark green paint job, upgraded exhaust, nitrous, gold spoke wheels, side skirt. (I decided against the huge boy-racer spoiler.)

I saw another car but I cant tell if its an early 90s 240 or an RX-7. I'll have to take a closer look at the tail lights.

I'm about halfway through the Las Venturas missions. Just the rest of those and back to Los Santos and I'm done.

I've been too busy with HL2 and my Nintendo DS so GTA hasn't gotten too much attention lately.

I beat it, its a great game.

the problem with the "R34" (Elegy) is that its rear-wheel drive, and oversteers like crazy. I personally think its more like an R32 GTS-T.

There's also an Alfa Romeo convertable in the game... Either that or its a slightly misshapen Jag E-class. Of course theres the classic Sabre that looks EXACTLY like a chevelle, and all of the low-rider cars are definitely modelled of real cars, including the all-important '64 Impala.

theres also an Impreza, a 3000GT, a few ferraris, and a Duallie truck.
